A WATER IDEALLY MINERALIZED
The composition of Perlyne natural mineral water presents many assets:
NITRATES
As the infants’ disgestion system is not totally formed yet, as soon as they are absorbed nitrates can be transformed in nitrites and oxidize the haemoglobin, and consequently prevent a good oxygenation of blood.
A water for babies must not exceed more than 10mg/litre.
Perlyne mineral water does not contain nitrates.
*Nitrates are one element of the cycle of nitrogen and mainly come from fertilizers and organic waste. Present in the environment at a low rate, their presence and concentration in the ground water have been increasing for the last decades due to the intensive agriculture, urban development and industrialization.
PH
The PH-neutral OF Perlyne (7.3- close to the human body’s PH-NEUTRAL) as well as its rate bicarbonates/sulfates foster the gustative sweetness and make the digestion easy.
MINERALIZATION
Besides, a water for infants must be weakly mineralized (dry residue inferior to 1000mg/l) for two reasons :
Some organs have not reached their maturity and drive off an excess in minerals tire the kidneys.
Moreover, their needs in minerals are generally covered by breastfeeding and infant food preparations*.
Perlyne’s dry residue is 329mg/l.
*Beyond a few weeks, most infants do not benefit from breastfeeding anymore and drink baby milk in the form of powered milk made up with water. Yet, powered milk comes from cow milk and presents a concentration in minerals much higher than mother’s milk. So as to avoid an additional renal load and too much important for the immature infants’kidneys, it is important to use a water weakly mineralized for the preparation of powered milk.
SODIUM
Salt is vital for our body but it must not be consumed in a high quantity so as not to disturb the cardiovascular system.
Low salt diets are advised to fight against high blood pressure and cardiac and renal insufficiency.
The OMS recommends 5g/l.
With only 11mg of sodium/litre, 0.011g/l, Perlyne mineral water is suitable for low salt diets.

THE QUALITY CONTROL
The quality of water
is controlled all along the bottling process.
Our intern laboratory makes daily controls at different points, from the pumping to the finished product. The spring is also controlled continuously on some physico-chemical parameters.
The department laboratory of analysis and research of AISNE, laboratoty registered COFRAC draws and analyses several times a week some samples on the whole production line.
Perlyne mineral water is also controlled by the Regional Agency of Health and Pasteur Institute.
MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TAP WATERS, SPRING WATERS AND NATURAL MINERAL WATERS
NATURAL MINERAL WATERS
When a water is said to be “natural mineral water”, it directly comes from the spring and can neither be sanitized nor undergo a chemical treatment.The natural mineral water generally has more minerals than the spring water and benefits from a regular composition , whereas the one of the spring waters can vary.
Among the natural mineral waters, only the waters averagely or weakly mineralized presenting low levels in components such as nitrates, fluoride or manganese can benefit from the accreditation for infant feeding.
TAP WATERS
Waters from networks of current distribution, commonly called “tap waters” undergo chemical treatments so that they comply with the drinkability norms.
They are from multiple origins, can not claim to be healthy and are not suitable to infant feeding.
SPRING WATERS
A spring water is a brand under which can be sold water from any spring.
The origin of the spring is written on the label. The composition of a spring water can show irregular analysis results.
Perlyne mineral water
comes from a confined ground water naturally protected.
Several years of study and analysis have shown the regularity of the mineral composition of Perlyne and its suitability for infants.
